About this grant
The Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance is a multi-sectoral partnership powered by the Z Zurich Foundation focused on enhancing resilience to climate hazards in both rural and urban communities. The Alliance addresses the inadequate investment in climate adaptation and risk reduction, which has resulted in increased loss and damage after disasters. With over a decade of experience in generating evidence of communities' climate resilience levels and identifying appropriate solutions, the Alliance works with partners from humanitarian, NGO, research, and private sectors to implement solutions, promote good practice, influence policy, and facilitate systemic change. Building on more than ten years of flood resilience work since 2013, the Alliance has expanded its focus to address multiple climate hazards including heatwaves and wildfires. Knowledge generated from each program is shared across the Alliance and beyond to promote good practice and identify opportunities to scale successful interventions.
