Summary

Almost everything Raise Lens sets is strictly necessary to run the service, authentication, billing, and a Cloudflare security check. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. There is one optional cookie: if you sign up with Google, and only if you say yes when we ask, we remember for ten minutes which page you arrived on so we can tell which parts of the site are useful. Say no and nothing is stored, sign-up works exactly the same.

What we set

CookiePurposeLifetime
sb-*Authentication session, keeps you signed in. First-party, HTTP-only.Session + 30 days
__stripe_*Set by Stripe when you start a subscription flow; required for the secure checkout to work.Session
__cf_bmSet by Cloudflare to distinguish humans from bots and protect the site from abuse.30 minutes
cf_clearanceCloudflare bot-management clearance after a successful challenge.30 days

Functional storage we set

A few small first-party items remember your preferences and a basic usage session. They're strictly necessary for features you use and carry no cross-site tracking, so no consent is required, but for full transparency:

KeyPurposeLifetime
rl_dash_visitCookie. Remembers your last dashboard visit to show “new since last time”.30 days
rl_onboard_dismissedCookie. Hides the getting-started checklist once you dismiss it.1 year
rl_hide_howitworksLocal storage. Hides the “how this works” strip once dismissed.Until cleared
gs_session_idSession storage. Anonymous id grouping a browsing session for first-party usage analytics. Not linked to you unless signed in.Until tab closed
rl_ua_vid / rl_ua_resultCookies, set only if you use the website analysis on the homepage. A random id that counts your daily analyses, and the id of your latest analysis so it can be saved with an account you create.30 days / 1 day
rl_consent_v2Local storage. Remembers your answer to the question below, so we only ask once.Until cleared

The one optional cookie

If you sign up with Google, your browser leaves our site and comes back, which loses the memory of where you arrived from. With your permission we put that one detail, the page you landed on and any campaign tag in the link, into a short-lived cookie (rl_attr) so it survives the trip. It lasts ten minutes, is deleted the moment you land back here, and holds no name, email or address. We ask before setting it, and declining costs you nothing.

Google Analytics (optional)

With the same permission we load Google Analytics 4, which tells us which pages people find useful. It sets _ga and _ga_<id> (up to 2 years) and sends page views and device details to Google. Advertising signals are switched off. Nothing from Google loads until you click “Allow”, and declining costs you nothing.

Microsoft Clarity (optional)

With the same permission we load Microsoft Clarity, which shows us where people click and scroll so we can fix confusing pages. It sets _clck (up to 1 year) and _clsk (1 day) and sends page interactions and device details to Microsoft. Form inputs are masked, and nothing on account, dashboard or sign-in pages is recorded. Advertising storage is switched off. Nothing from Microsoft loads until you click “Allow”, and declining costs you nothing.

What we don't set

  • No advertising cookies.
  • No third-party analytics other than Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, and those only with your permission.
  • No social-media trackers.
  • No cross-site fingerprinting or behavioural-profiling scripts.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies from your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and you'll need to log in again. Blocking Stripe cookies will prevent the subscription checkout from completing.

Changes to this notice

If we introduce additional cookies (e.g. a privacy-respecting analytics tool), this page is updated first and a consent banner is added to the site before the cookie is ever set.
