ADVENIR is an ADEME programme that co-finances the installation of electric vehicle charging stations. It targets owners of heavy-vehicle fleets and automotive service professionals who want to offer charging to staff, customers and suppliers.
About this grant
ADVENIR is a French programme that funds the installation of electric vehicle charging points (bornes de recharge). It is designed to address the gap in charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, particularly where residents of shared buildings, employees and visitors, and public users lack access to charging. The programme covers installations in collective residential buildings, workplaces, public car parks open to the public, public roads, and heavy goods vehicle and coach facilities, with a dedicated pathway for Corsica and the French Overseas territories. Funding is provided through energy savings certificates (certificats d'économie d'énergie) under the French national scheme. The programme is operated by Avere-France in coordination with the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and ADEME. It has a budget of 520 million euros and aims to finance 250,000 charging points by 2027. The page reports about 140,000 points financed so far. Supported beneficiaries include individuals in collective housing, co-ownership management firms (syndics), companies, local authorities and other public bodies. Installation must be carried out by a qualified EV charging installer (installateur qualifié IRVE) who has an offer labelled under the programme. Installers apply separately to join the programme as labelled partners, and the programme publishes technical specifications, eligible cost rules, data collection and interoperability requirements, and on-site inspection procedures. The page does not state individual grant amounts, which are described on a separate page by premium type, nor any application deadline or evaluation method.
