About this grant
Carbon13's Venture Builder Cambridge is an eight-month programme for a cohort of 80 determined individuals from the UK and beyond who do not yet have a startup but want to find a co-founder and build a climate-tech startup. The programme supports entrepreneurs in building ventures with the potential to reduce or remove CO2e emissions by at least 10 million tonnes per year when at scale. Carbon13 builds and backs ventures addressing Earth's critical life support systems, with a focus on climate change. The programme brings together determined founders including scientists, engineers, and serial entrepreneurs (average cohort age 37, with one-third holding PhDs) to develop climate-tech solutions. Participants benefit from Carbon13's approach combining commercial, carbon, and scientific understanding, developed through its Cambridge origins and expanded through its Berlin operations.
