About this grant
Creating Hope in Conflict: A Humanitarian Grand Challenge funds and accelerates life-saving or life-improving innovations to help vulnerable and hardest-to-reach people impacted by humanitarian crises caused by conflict. The programme addresses the critical gap in humanitarian innovation, where less than one percent of humanitarian aid is invested in innovations necessary to reach people in insecure areas. Partnered by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and Global Affairs Canada with support from Grand Challenges Canada, the initiative identifies and supports groundbreaking solutions that engage the private sector and draw from the experiences of affected communities. The programme seeks solutions that allow communities to respond more nimbly to complex emergencies and create better lives for themselves, with a focus on reaching vulnerable and inaccessible populations as humanitarian crises increase in length, frequency, and scope.

Eligibility
