This call funds demonstration projects that convert sustainable solid biofuels into high-efficiency combined heat and power through integrated regional supply chains. Projects must establish fully sustainable biofuel sourcing, deploy efficient CHP conversion technology, and conduct lifecycle sustainability assessments across the value chain. Large companies, SMEs, universities, research institutions and consortia may apply. Applicants must be based in EU member states. Projects at prototype, pilot or mature scale are eligible. Consortia are required. Grants of up to €6,750,000 per project are available through the call. Applications open on 4 August 2026 and close on 1 December 2026.
