Eligibility
Applicants must be working on direct action against a proposed dam, have a newly-formed project, and be run by a single person, group, or newly established organization. Established organizations should apply through the regular grant program instead. Projects cannot have previously applied for a regular Free Rivers Fund grant. The grant does not fund media projects (films, photo exhibitions), general science research (though science directly supporting a direct action campaign is eligible), education projects, dam removal campaigns (which should apply for regular grants), or projects with purposes other than dam prevention. Applications from Africa cannot currently be processed.
