About this grant
This hackathon brings together pre-selected challenge winners and investment partners to develop prototypes addressing real-world energy sector challenges using generative and agentic AI. The two-day event is facilitated by AI experts and structured around team-based prototype development. Participants must be pre-selected laureates of the energy challenge or designated investment partners; this is not an open call. Eligible organisation types include startups, small and medium enterprises, universities, research institutions and nonprofits working on renewable energy or grid modernisation. Participants operate at idea and research stage or prototype and pilot stage. The hackathon culminates in delivery of a working prototype or proof-of-concept. Funding is available as a prize award and accelerator programme support. Organisations from anywhere globally may participate if selected.
