Thrive Philanthropy offers fiscal sponsorship services to enable organizations and projects without nonprofit status to receive tax-deductible donations and operate under a nonprofit umbrella. This is a structural support service primarily for food-systems and plant-based food initiatives seeking legal and financial infrastructure.
About this grant
Thrive Philanthropy offers fiscal sponsorships to non-USA and USA groups with missions centered on the wellbeing of humans, animals, or the planet. A fiscal sponsorship enables groups or individuals without USA 501c3 nonprofit status to accept USA tax-deductible donations and grants from USA donors that require 501c3 status. As fiscal sponsor, Thrive accepts donations on the applicant's behalf, provides USA tax-deductible donor receipts, and redirects donations directly to the sponsee. Thrive does not offer mentorship, fundraising advice, financial support, or assistance with launching a 501c3. The fiscal sponsorship model is suited for organizations expecting fewer large donations rather than many small donations. Fiscal sponsorships are only available to groups that avoid exploiting or harming animals and uphold Thrive's safespace and whistleblower protection policy.
