About this grant
This project supports gender-transformative conservation of the Lake Chad Basin across Niger, Chad, and Cameroon. It aims to improve conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity by marginalized communities vulnerable to climate change, particularly women and youth in protected areas. The project focuses on three key outcomes: improving crops vulnerable to climate change through gender-responsive and climate-resilient agricultural livelihoods, and increasing leadership by women and youth in climate change-focused environmental peacebuilding within and near Ramsar sites in the region. …
