About this grant

The Horizon Europe programme funds development of advanced materials and new production processes designed to reduce European dependency on critical and strategic raw materials. This Innovation Action supports consortia moving technologies from prototype and pilot stages through to demonstration scale. Eligible applicants include large companies, SMEs, universities, research institutions and consortia combining these partners. All applicants must be based in EU member states or associated countries. Projects must focus on material innovation and circular or sustainable manufacturing approaches, with alignment to the relevant partnership frameworks. Grants of €6,000,000 to €7,500,000 per project are available. Applications open on 22 September 2026 and close on 2 February 2027.
