About this grant
This call funds research into nature-inspired computing paradigms that address the energy inefficiency and data scarcity challenges facing artificial intelligence. Projects should develop novel computing architectures, learning systems or perception approaches inspired by biological processes—such as neuromorphic computing or bio-inspired algorithms—that deliver substantially greater efficiency and adaptability than conventional methods. Startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, universities and research institutions based in the UK are eligible to apply at any development stage.
