The initiative sits within CXL's 'Invest in Human and Planetary Wellness' strategic pillar, which focuses on the intersection of human health and ecological systems, including pollution reduction at its source. CXL pursues these goals through a combination of open innovation prizes and challenges, in-house invention (including pathogen assay development via its NABIT platform), and field deployments. To date, CXL has provided over $12 million in funding to breakthrough solutions and supported more than 165 game-changing innovations, with over $570 million in follow-on support flowing to innovators after working with CXL.
