The Spark+ Africa Fund provides private debt financing for companies and projects delivering renewable energy and clean cooking solutions across Africa. The fund targets businesses at prototype, seed, Series A, Series B or mature stages, including startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, large companies and social enterprises. Applicants must operate primarily in Africa and centre their business model on energy access or clean cooking. The fund prioritises ventures with viable revenue models capable of servicing debt obligations and aligned with reducing energy poverty. Private credit, debt loans and project finance instruments are available through the call.
