About this tender
The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research (Havforskningsinstituttet) is procuring a Subsea Distribution Unit (SDU) and an associated jumper for the LoVe project. The SDU must have wet-mate receptacles for a 3 kVAC plug and an 8-fibre plug on the input side, three 230 VAC wet-mate electrical receptacles and three wet-mate optical receptacles (two fibres each) on the output side, and a step-down transformer converting 3 kVAC to 230 VAC housed in a redundant, oil-filled pressure-balanced enclosure. The SDU must be rated to 1000 m depth and have a 20-year design life. Installation of the SDU must not depend on the jumper. The buyer wants the existing SDU structure inspected and reused as far as possible (modifications permitted without loss of 20-year life, subject to buyer approval), and lifting points must be certified. The jumper scope includes offshore work with necessary parts and materials to splice the jumper onto the cable end at position P1, to be performed as agreed with the buyer. The jumper uses a 4-pin wet-mate electrical connector (3 kVAC plug) and an 8-fibre wet-mate optical connector, must be oil-filled, and long enough to reach the SDU receptacles. As with the SDU, the existing jumper structure should be inspected and reused where possible, with modifications subject to approval and no loss of the 20-year life. The procedure is a competitive procedure with negotiation (konkurranse med forhandling) under Directive 2014/24/EU, classified as goods with related services in the oil and gas/offshore sector. Delivery locations are Vestland (NO0A2) and Nordland (NO071), Norway. The contract duration is 24 months and the project is not EU-funded. The notice is a two-stage procedure and includes a strategic procurement objective of reducing environmental impact.
