Im Rahmen des Hochleistungskorridors Ludwigshafen–Forbach wird der Bahnhof Homburg (Saar) umfassend saniert, instandgesetzt und modernisiert. Zentrale Aufgabe ist die Sanierung der Bausubstanz des Empfangsgebäudes, insbesondere der Gebäudehülle und des Kellergeschosses sowie die Erneuerung der technischen Gebäudeausrüstung, um einen dauerhaft nutzbaren Zustand auf dem aktuellen Stand der Technik zu erreichen.
