About this tender
This RFP seeks procurement of an ecological restoration contractor to conduct targeted weed control in the Rakaia Gorge catchment. The key outcome is suppression/eradication of identified key weed species to protect surrounding indigenous biodiversity values and natural character. This is an ongoing project building on 5 years of previous work. The contractor(s) will control ecological weed species as identified in each year's operational plan, primarily using ground-based methods that minimise impacts on indigenous vegetation, with some work potentially requiring aerial control methods.
