Die Widukindstadt Enger plant die umfassende energetische Sanierung und Modernisierung der 1-fach Turnhalle auf dem Grundstück der Grundschule Belke-Steinbeck/Besenkamp in der Humboldtstraße 20 in Enger. Im Rahmen der Maßnahme sollen sowohl der Hallenbereich als auch die Umkleidebereiche bis auf den Rohbau zurückgebaut werden, um eine vollständige bauliche und technische Erneuerung zu ermöglichen. Im Fokus der Modernisierung stehen die energetische Aufwertung der Fensterfront im Hallenteil, der Einbau eines neuen Hallenbodens und die Installation einer modernen Lüftungsanlage mit Wärmerückgewinnung. Für die Beheizung der Halle ist eine Deckenstrahlungsheizung vorgesehen. Die Beleuchtung, Lüftung und das Heizsystem sollen künftig durch den Einsatz erneuerbarer Energien - darunter eine Wärmepumpe sowie eine Photovoltaikanlage - betrieben werden. Mit Abschluss der Sanierungsmaßnahmen wird angestrebt, erstmals mindestens die Effizienzgebäude-Stufe 70 zu erreichen und somit einen hohen energetischen Standard sicherzustellen. Ein zentrales Ziel des Projektes ist zudem die Herstellung einer vollständigen Barrierefreiheit. Hierzu ist vorgesehen, die Turnhalle um eine behindertengerechte Umkleide mit WC- und Duschbereich zu erweitern, um allen Nutzergruppen einen gleichberechtigten und selbstständigen Zugang zu ermöglichen. Das Gebäude soll gemäß der Zertifizierungsprogrammes "Qualitätssiegel Nachhaltiges Bauen (QNG)" mit dem Status "PLUS" zertifiziert werden.
