Der Landkreis Ammerland als Träger der Ammerland-Klinik GmbH errichtet im Rahmen eines Zukunftsprojekts mit einem Investitionsvolumen von 233 Mio. Euro einen Klinikneubau in unmittelbarer Nähe zum bestehenden Klinikzentrum entlang der "Lange Straße" auf klinikeigenem Grundstück. Auf 11.200 qm wird ein Neubau errichtet, der mit modernster Technik so viel Energie wie möglich selbst produzieren soll und Vorbild in Nachhaltigkeit und Kreislaufwirtschaft darstellen wird.
