In context

This is a contract notice published by a government body covering services. Delivery covers Finland (Europe). It is classified under Waste Reduction and Circular Economy against the sustainability taxonomy rather than matched on keywords.

Summary

HUS Kiinteistöt Oy is procuring a single supplier for collection, transport and treatment of hazardous and healthcare special waste across hospitals in the Helsinki region. It suits licensed hazardous-waste logistics operators with fleet, treatment capacity and regulatory compliance; a small startup is unlikely to be the fit.

About this tender

HUS Kiinteistöt Oy is procuring hazardous and healthcare special waste disposal services for hospitals and other facilities of the HUS group. The main facilities are in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Hyvinkää, Lohja, Porvoo and Raasepori, with smaller-scale operations in other municipalities. The contract also covers Kiinteistö Oy Laakson sairaala, which has minor estimated purchase volumes. The service is a turnkey package covering collection (noutu), transport and treatment of hazardous and healthcare special waste. The contracting authority will select one (1) supplier. The initial contract term is three (3) years, after which it continues until further notice. The buyer makes no commitment to specific purchase volumes and will order services as needed. The number of collection points, container sizes or emptying intervals may change during the contract period without affecting prices. The buyer may refine the services and collection points as required. Currently known collection points and estimated waste volumes are listed in the annexes. Property tours will not be organised for the sites due to the large number of properties.
