About this tender

The Comune di Manno (Ticino, Switzerland) is procuring forestry works under the protection-forest care project in the Boschetti-Ronchetti priority zone, uphill of the village at locality Boschetti (postcode 6928). The aim is to clean and rejuvenate the stands and stabilise the protection forest over the long term. The works are contracted as a construction-category open procedure with CPV 77200000 (forestry services) and additional CPV 45111220 (clearing works). The scope includes felling and skidding of timber on the wooded slope and within stream beds, management of forest edges, improvement of the hiking trail network, and targeted control of invasive neophytes. Principal quantities are: about 2,500 m3 of felled trees; 2,200 m3 of whole-tree skidding; 10,600 m2 of forest edge creation; planting of 1,060 trees and shrubs; rehabilitation of 160 linear metres of existing trails; creation of 320 linear metres of new trails; and 5 years of establishment care. Helicopter skidding and transport of materials and auxiliary traffic-management personnel may be subcontracted, with one named subcontractor per activity. Contract duration is not specified in the notice and the contract may not be extended. Variants and partial tenders are not permitted.
