About Skytree

Skytree is a Dutch climate technology company, based at Amsterdam Science Park, that develops and manufactures direct air capture machines. Its Skypark model brings together a site and energy partner, capital providers and local CO2 buyers to run a regional CO2 supply hub, selling captured CO2 as a service. Its first Skypark, in the Netherlands, is a joint venture with Lingezegen Energy.

In October 2026 Invest International, the Dutch public impact investor, announced a EUR 1 million development loan for Skytree's first international Skypark, in Iceland. The project will use Iceland's geothermal energy for the electricity and heat that direct air capture needs. Development and site preparation run through 2026 and 2027, with installation and commercial operations expected in 2028. Invest International describes the loan as bridging a financing gap during the development phase, before construction finance and binding offtake are in place.
