About this grant

ADEME supports private operators who treat biowaste with preliminary studies needed to prepare biowaste hygienisation installations, to create or adapt composting platforms, and to set up autonomous composting in establishments. The aid covers preparatory studies for these treatment and recovery facilities. The page notes that since 1 January 2024, source separation of biowaste is mandatory for all producers, including households, which drives demand for such infrastructure. A separate dedicated scheme exists for methanisation projects. The aid covers up to 80% of eligible study costs. Producers of biowaste are not eligible. Applicants must have an Agir account to file through the ADEME submission platform and should consult the downloadable eligibility conditions document and expense categorisation guide.
