About this grant

The Horizon Europe programme funds pre-commercial procurement of renewable fuel technologies and industrial value chains to reduce market entry risk and enable scaling. The call targets consortia developing advanced renewable fuels including hydrogen, e-fuels and sustainable aviation fuels through transnational innovation procurement mechanisms. Large companies, SMEs, startups, research institutions and universities may apply, provided they form transnational consortia involving multiple EU member states or associated countries. Projects at prototype, pilot, pre-seed and seed stages are eligible. Applicants must demonstrate renewable fuel technologies at scale-up or pilot stage with a clear pathway to commercial deployment and industrial use. Grants of up to €40,000,000 per project are available. The call opens on 4 August 2026 and closes on 1 December 2026.
