The LIFE programme funds environmental governance initiatives across EU member states. Projects should strengthen institutional capacity, improve policy implementation, and establish sustainable management practices in biodiversity, nature protection and climate adaptation. The programme supports public authorities, nonprofits, research institutions, universities, SMEs and larger companies working to enhance environmental protection and climate action governance. Grants are available through the call to eligible organisations operating in the EU. Projects may be at any stage of development. Applications close on 22 September 2026.
