About this grant
This project strengthens the management of urban canyons in the canton of Ambato, Ecuador by building the capacities and organizational structures of local representatives and residents in ten rural communities through which the 17 most important urban canyons pass. Based on agroecological and sustainable principles, sections of the urban canyons are ecologically restored and edible forests are planted. Renaturation measures are implemented and public, sustainable, and safe natural spaces are created. …
