About this grant
DOEN Foundation is the fund of the Postcode Loterij and VriendenLoterij. It aims to accelerate the transition to a circular economy in which everyone counts, that puts the commons first, and leaves room for radical imagination. It supports innovative initiatives by pioneers and those that strengthen them, giving them a quick start so they can inspire others and show that change is possible. The foundation organises its work around three themes: Regenerative economy, Social solidarity, and Power of imagination, under a broader framing of accelerating transitions. Larger initiatives are directed to the DOEN Ventures website. Prospective applicants can complete a Quickscan to check whether they may qualify for support, noting that this does not guarantee funding. The page also points to a portfolio of supported initiatives, such as Chako Zanzibar, Oogst and Easy Housing Uganda.
