About this grant
This grant finances decentralised renewable energy projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. It supports clean energy businesses operating in emerging markets, regardless of their stage of development, from early-stage ventures through to established enterprises. Startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, large companies and social enterprises are eligible to apply. Projects must demonstrate a clear climate and impact mandate alongside a viable clean energy business model. The funding is available as grants, concessional finance or blended finance structures to support the deployment of renewable energy solutions in the region.
