About this grant
The South-South Exchange is a knowledge sharing and learning initiative managed by the Agri-Business Facility for Africa (ABF), a German Development Cooperation project launched in 2020. ABF is a pan-African knowledge and advisory hub working across cocoa, maize, and livestock value chains in 79 OACPS member states. The South-South Exchange programme facilitates learning and best practice sharing for further scaling and institutionalizing agribusiness approaches while establishing South-South cooperations. It is part of the Joint Action "Business Support Facility for Resilient Agricultural Value Chains" co-financed by the EU Directorate-General for International Partnerships (INTPA), the Organisation of African Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The programme aims to contribute to economic and climate change resilience of targeted value chains and to food security, increased income, and employment across Africa.

Eligibility
The programme targets rural micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) operating in agricultural value chains, particularly in cocoa, maize, cattle, sheep, and goats value chains across the 79 OACPS member states. Professional organisations, development programmes, national or regional organisations, and companies engaged in agribusiness activities in more than 25 African countries and partner networks in Asian countries may also be eligible. The focus is on entities seeking to improve performance and skills or pursuing innovative climate-resilient project ideas.
