EIC Transition funding
- What it funds
- Maturing a proven technology and building the business case around it — taking a result that already works in the lab through to validation in a real environment. Part of the European Innovation Council, under Horizon Europe.
- How much
- Grants of up to €2.5 million per project. Larger amounts are possible where justified. Published call budgets cover many projects and are not the per-project award.
- Next deadline
- No EIC Transition call is open right now. We track the programme daily — the calls below are the rest of the EIC ladder.
- Who can apply
- Single applicants (SMEs including startups and spin-outs, universities, research organisations) or small consortia. Transition is designed to build on results from an earlier eligible project, so check the call conditions for which prior projects qualify before you start.
- Where to apply
- EU Funding & Tenders Portal — the official topic page carries the binding call conditions.
