Scope
The productivity of livestock and yields of dairy, meat, and eggs are highly dependent on ambient temperatures. While most companies focus on the cold chains elements of transporting dairy, meat, and eggs, the welfare of animals inside their sheds has so far been a “blind spot” in agribusiness value chains. As global temperatures rise, agribusiness producers are already expecting yields and productivity to fall.
