About this tender

The AWO Niedersachsen gGmbH (procured on behalf of the AWO-Psychiatriezentrum) is tendering building and room acoustics engineering and expert services for the new construction and modernisation of the geropsychiatry facility in Königslutter. The project has two construction phases. Phase 1 extends building B and adds a new building next to the existing Klinik B, housing three wards, one of which is a new geropsychiatry ward. Phase 2 demolishes about 60% of the existing building and adds a further new building with two wards, after which the remaining old building is comprehensively renovated. The total usable floor area is about 4,800 m², of which about 2,600 m² is new-build usable floor area (HNF). The consultant will advise the client and planners on the acoustics of the new geropsychiatry building. The main tasks are ensuring and implementing room-acoustic requirements in the detailed design and construction, with particular attention to room acoustics, sound insulation against neighbouring areas, and avoiding disturbing sound transmission in sensitive care areas. Services are based on the architects' and specialist engineers' planning. The contract is structured in stages. Work phases 1 to 4 of building and room acoustics under Annex 1.2 of the HOAI (German fee regulation for architects and engineers) are to be commissioned. Work phases 5 to 7 and additional special services under the same annex are optional and will be commissioned by the client, possibly in stages still to be defined, under the attached contract template. Measurements in the existing building and supplementary existing-condition analyses are also optional and will be commissioned separately. The procurement process is supported by D&K drost consult GmbH in Hamburg. The duration of the overall engagement is not stated.

Key requirements

  • ✓Services can be called off in stages; on-site measurements in the existing building are separately commissioned
