About this tender

FWG Fernwärmegesellschaft mbH Templin plans to decarbonise the Templin Süd district heating network (heat supply approx. 6,250 MWh/a, connected capacity approx. 3.47 MW), including through deep geothermal energy. The procurement is structured as a single-source package of services covering four positions. Position 1 covers general coordination and energy system modelling. Position 2 covers planning of the deep geothermal installation, including the drilling pad, the thermal water circuit, the heat pump plant and the operations building, up to HOAI service phase 4 (LP 4), including permit planning. Position 3 covers preparation of the transformation plan under the German federal funding programme for efficient heating networks (BEW), Module 1. Position 4 is optional: planning services under HOAI LP 5 to 8 (execution planning, preparation and participation in tendering, and object and construction supervision). It is conditional on a BEW Module 2 funding notification and on a call-off by the contracting authority, and there is no entitlement to be commissioned. The service period for Positions 1 to 3 runs from 01.04.2027 to 15.02.2028. Further details are set out in the service specification.

About this sector

Renewable energy funding covers solar, wind, hydropower, geothermal and bioenergy, from early research to grid-scale deployment. Public money tends to back demonstration, grid connection and access to energy in emerging markets, while procurement notices buy installation, operation and maintenance. Calls often ask for proof of resource assessment, permitting progress and local partners.
