Angesichts struktureller, demografischer und klimatischer Veränderungen steht die Innenstadt Bad Pyrmonts vor einem umfassenden Transformationsprozess. Veränderungen im Einzelhandel, zunehmende Leerstände, Defizite im öffentlichen Raum sowie höhere Anforderungen an Klimaanpassung und nachhaltige Mobilität erfordern eine integrierte Weiterentwicklung. Seit 2022 ist die Innenstadt daher in das Städtebauförderprogramm "Lebendige Zentren" eingebunden.
