About this tender
The procurement concerns the conversion, renovation and extension of the former administrative building of Dr. Pfleger in Hallstadt (Bamberg area) for use as a Montessori school. The buyer is Montessori Bamberg e.V. The contract covers heating, ventilation and air-conditioning installation work (Heizungsbauarbeiten). As part of the construction measure, the existing heat supply installations will be completely dismantled and newly built to match the future use. The building will remain supplied by district heating. The existing district heating connection will be removed because the room layout has changed and will be replaced by a new connection in a different plant room. The district heating transfer station will also be newly built. Heat distribution will use a two-pipe system serving radiators, ceiling radiant panels and the hot-water coils of the ventilation units. The distribution is organised into four heating circuits: ceiling radiant panels, radiators, hot-water coils of the ventilation units, and a reserve circuit for a planned children's house. Cooling of the ceiling radiant panels will use the existing well as an energy source, reactivated and connected via a plate heat exchanger to the existing ceiling radiant panel system. Simultaneous heating and cooling is not planned; the system operates in either heating or cooling mode. All ELT technical rooms will be equipped with split air-conditioning units, with indoor units in each stacked technical room connected to a shared outdoor unit positioned on the roof. The expected contract duration is not stated in the available text.
Key requirements
- Complete HVAC system retrofit including district-heating connection replacement and new heat-transfer station
- Four-zone heating circuit design (ceiling radiant panels, radiators, ventilation warm-water registers, reserve circuit for future childcare facility)
- Groundwater-sourced cooling system via plate heat exchanger for ceiling radiant panels with switchable heat/cool operation
- Split-unit air-conditioning for all ELT technical rooms with rooftop-mounted external units

About this sector
Heating and cooling funding supports heat pumps, district heating, thermal networks, efficient cooling and the removal of fossil boilers. It arrives through national support schemes, local authority programmes and procurement for heat networks. Applicants typically need heat demand assessments, a connection plan and an operator for the system.
