Die Fraunhofer Gesellschaft baut am Standort Münster ein eigenständiges Forschungsinstitut zur Forschung an Batteriezellen und deren Produktion auf - die Forschungsfertigung Batteriezelle Münster (kurz FFB). Ziel der FFB ist die Absenkung des Entwicklungsaufwandes für die hochskalierte Produktion neuester Lithium-Ionen-Batteriezellen. Damit soll die FFB das Risiko von industriellen Partnern bei der Überführung neuartiger Zellkonzepte und Produktionstechnologien in die Großserienfertigung wesentlich mindern und die Eintrittshürden für neue Hersteller signifikant reduzieren. …
