Die Gemeinde Seebad Insel Hiddensee beabsichtigt die Innensanierung der bestehenden Gebäudeteile der Regionalen Schule mit Grundschule Vitte. Für das geplante Vorhaben wurden der Gemeinde Fördermittel in Höhe von ca. 2,6 Mio. Euro gewährt.
