Die RAG Aktiengesellschaft (RAG) hat Ende 2018 die Förderung, Veredelung und den Vertrieb von Steinkohle beendet. Mit der Bearbeitung der sogenannten Ewigkeitsaufgaben und der endlichen Aufgaben bleibt die RAG in den Bergbauregionen verantwortlich tätig. Bei den Ewigkeitsaufgaben handelt es sich um die Bearbeitung von Bergbaufolgen, die auf unabsehbare Zeit technische und logistische Maßnahmen erfordern. Hierzu zählen die Grubenwasserhaltung, Poldermaßnahmen über Tage sowie die Grundwasserreinigung an einigen ehemaligen Kokereistandorten und das Grundwassermonitoring an kontaminierten Standorten. Im Rahmen dieser Aufgaben sind immer wieder Prüfleistungen auf unterschiedlichen bergbaulichen Gebieten erforderlich. Zur Leistungserbringung in diesen Bereichen benötigt RAG jetzt und künftig Fachkompetenz. Dieser Vertrag betrifft die Erstellung von Gutachten, Abnahmeberichten sowie Stellungnahmen auf der Grundlage bergbehördlicher Vorgaben für die in der Leistungsbeschreibung dargestellten Positionen in Nordrhein-Westfalen und dem Saarland, bzw. Prüftätigkeiten bei Zulieferern im In- und Ausland.
