About Reverion
Reverion is a German energy technology company based in Eresing, near Munich. It manufactures containerised solid oxide power plants that convert biogas or renewable natural gas into electricity electrochemically, without combustion. Carbon Herald reports 74.2% electrical efficiency in live customer deployments. Because the CO2 in biogas is biogenic, capturing it makes the power carbon negative. The same units can run in reverse as electrolysers, producing green hydrogen or synthetic methane when the grid has surplus power.
The Series B was announced on 29 September 2026. It was led by Kembara, with KfW Capital, Aurum Impact, Carbon Equity and Allianz coming in as new backers. Existing investors Extantia, Energy Impact Partners, UVC Partners, the EIC Fund, alfa8 and Possible Ventures also took part. The money goes mainly into a new factory in Germany to raise annual production capacity tenfold, to 250 megawatts.
