About this grant
The grant supports full industrial-scale biorefinery projects that use biotechnology as a key enabling technology to produce sustainable bio-based products. Projects should demonstrate a robust biomanufacturing route at TRL 8, convert or use the resulting biorefinery products into at least one market-relevant end product, and improve sustainability, circularity, resource efficiency, and EU strategic autonomy. The topic covers products such as chemicals, intermediates, polymers, ingredients, and enzymes, while food and feed ingredients as the main application are out of scope.
