About this grant
IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative's Convening approach brings together multi-stakeholder collaborations and industry initiatives to drive meaningful change across global agricultural and trade value chains. IDH convenes businesses, governments, investors, and communities to co-create and co-finance programs that transform markets for the benefit of people, planet, and progress. Through convening landscape initiatives, IDH helps accelerate sustainable land management, increase farmer livelihoods, share risk, reduce costs, and create lasting change. Over more than 15 years, IDH has developed collaborative programs across sectors including apparel, bananas, cocoa, coffee, cotton, flowers, fruit and vegetables, palm oil, spices, and vanilla. IDH's work is anchored in four impact agendas: Living Income, Decent Work and Wages, Gender Equality, and Climate and Nature, and is implemented across more than 23 countries through a network of over 400 staff. The organization is supported primarily by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, as well as other strategic donors.
