About this grant
Decarb Flash Artisan is a call for projects from ADEME, the French Agency for Ecological Transition, that funds electrification investments for artisanal businesses. It targets the replacement of equipment that runs on fossil fuels (gas, fuel oil, LPG and similar) with electric equipment. The aim is to cut artisans' consumption of fossil fuels by substituting electric solutions. The call covers food and drink trades (bakers, pastry chefs, butchers, brewers, distillers, restaurants, caterers and similar), vehicle maintenance, repair and sales, laundries and dry cleaners, and a range of arts and crafts trades such as glassblowing, ceramics, metalworking, jewellery and watch repair. Eligible actions include electric bread ovens, electric paint booths, electric cooking equipment, electric washing, drying and ironing equipment, and electric ovens for arts and artisanal manufacturing. Each action must meet the minimum and maximum investment amounts set out in the specifications (cahier des charges). Only replacements that use an electric device of equal or lower power for the same use qualify. Businesses pursuing energy efficiency can also receive free support from an energy adviser through the 'Mon parcours économies d'énergie' offer. This covers identifying actions and available funding, and on-site energy visits. Applications are submitted through the Agir platform, which requires an account. The call is open from 30 September 2026 to 15 June 2027.

About this sector
Industrial decarbonisation funding helps heavy industry cut emissions through electrification, fuel switching, process change and efficiency. Support is often capital-intensive and tied to a specific site, with feasibility studies leading to larger deployment calls. Applicants need emissions baselines, engineering studies and a plan to keep production running during the change.
