Diag Ecoconception Grant
In context
This call is open to small and medium-sized businesses and large companies. Funding is a grant. Coverage is read from the notice itself: France. The funder accepts early-stage applicants.
Diag Ecoconception is a subsidised 18-day, 10-month Bpifrance and ADEME programme that guides companies through a life-cycle-analysis-based ecodesign assessment and action plan for their products, services or processes. It targets French businesses that want to cut their environmental footprint but lack in-house expertise.
About this grant
Diag Ecoconception is a Bpifrance support offer, co-funded by ADEME, that helps companies improve the environmental performance of their products, services or processes through ecodesign. The offer addresses the need of businesses that want to reduce their environmental footprint but lack internal expertise to assess it. Companies receive expert guidance to evaluate the environmental performance of what they produce or deliver. The programme consists of 18 days of support spread over 10 months. It begins with an analysis of the company's context, followed by defining the scope and stakes of the ecodesign exercise. Internal teams are then made aware of ecodesign principles, and the company's ecodesign referent is trained. The core analytical step is an environmental assessment based on life cycle analysis (LCA) of the product, service or process concerned. Based on this, the adviser helps build an ecodesign action plan and prepares its implementation through a preliminary technical and economic sizing of the retained options. Costs to the beneficiary are reduced by ADEME subsidy: companies with fewer than 50 employees and under 10 M EUR turnover or balance sheet total pay 5,400 EUR excl. VAT after a 70% subsidy, while companies with fewer than 250 employees and under 50 M EUR turnover or 43 M EUR balance sheet pay 7,200 EUR excl. VAT after a 60% subsidy.
