About this grant
IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative's Decent Work and Wages impact agenda provides support and guidance to enable decent work in global value chains. It is one of four cross-cutting impact agendas through which IDH co-creates programs and interventions across sectors, regions, and landscapes alongside business, government, investor, and community partners. IDH convenes multi-stakeholder collaborations and industry initiatives, mobilises public and private capital, and helps companies adapt their business practices to evolving regulations. The Decent Work and Wages agenda specifically focuses on ensuring fair labour standards, fair wages, and improved working conditions for workers throughout global supply chains spanning sectors such as apparel, cocoa, coffee, cotton, flowers, fruit and vegetables, palm oil, spices, vanilla, and bananas. IDH is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates through a network of over 400 staff in more than 23 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America. Its work is supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, as well as other strategic donors.
