In context
This call is open to co-operatives, non-profits and community groups. Funding is a grant. Coverage is read from the notice itself: Netherlands. The funder accepts early-stage applicants.
This RVO subsidy covers costs for a charging point advice and basic charging infrastructure for EV charging at homeowner associations, residential associations and housing cooperatives that have their own parking. It runs for applications from 1 January 2024 through 31 December 2030.
About this grant
The SVVE (Subsidieregeling verduurzaming voor verenigingen van eigenaars) is a Dutch government subsidy administered by RVO that supports Verenigingen van Eigenaars (VvE's, owners' associations), residential cooperatives and similar housing associations with their own parking facilities next to the homes, to install electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The scheme offers two separate subsidies. The first covers charging point advice: a report by a certified adviser registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) that sets out how the VvE can realise future-proof charging points on its parking area, including an on-site inspection and, where needed, a non-technical summary for members. The second covers basic charging infrastructure (basislaadinfrastructuur): cabling, distribution boards, smart-charging provisions, a central disconnection option for fire safety, a data network, and access arrangements for residents. The subsidy does not cover the charging points themselves. The programme addresses the problem that residents in shared apartment buildings often lack the electrical infrastructure needed to charge electric cars at home. The stated budget is 10 million euros, with an application period running from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2027. Eligibility
Applicants must be a Vereniging van Eigenaars, a residential association or a residential cooperative with its own parking facility beside the homes. Management associations that manage only parking areas cannot apply. For the advice subsidy, at least one owner-occupied home must be linked to the parking space, occupied as the owner's main residence and registered at that address in the municipal basic administration; the advice report must be no more than two years old at the time of application and must estimate charging demand over at least ten years. For basic charging infrastructure, at least one owner-occupied home with the owner living there is required under the same residency rule, a signed quotation with a technical description listing the required components must be supplied, and proof must be given that the parking spaces belong to VvE members via the deed of division, along with evidence of a positive decision by the general members' meeting. The advice subsidy may be claimed only once. Applications for the infrastructure subsidy must be submitted after the quotation is received and the meeting has approved it, and before work begins. Those who applied in earlier years are governed by the rules in force in the year of application.
