About this grant

The Tijdelijke subsidieregeling Luchtvaart in Transitie (LiT), or Temporary Aviation in Transition scheme, is run by RVO on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. This window offers knowledge vouchers and test vouchers to help small and medium-sized enterprises innovate in aviation. It is open for applications from 2 April 2026 to 1 December 2026, with a total budget of EUR 300,000. A knowledge voucher covers up to 50% of the cost of a knowledge institution answering a specific technical question about renewing products, production processes or services in the aviation sector, up to a maximum of EUR 15,000. A test voucher covers 50% of the cost of having technology or innovations tested or validated, also up to EUR 15,000. The activities must be aimed at specified aviation topics: new propulsion systems and electric-thermal housekeeping, new design concepts and materials, ultra-efficient structural components, and cost-effective manufacturing technologies for new aircraft configurations after 2030. Applicants must log in with eHerkenning level 2+ and submit the knowledge questions or tests in the application. If the topics in the application do not match the answers given by the knowledge institution, the application is rejected. After a voucher is granted, the recipient has four months to upload a signed quotation or order from the knowledge institution. Vouchers can be transferred to the knowledge institution or company that answers the question, which then has two years to redeem them. The scheme also covers intermediaries transferring vouchers, with a transfer declaration form, and change requests during project execution.
