About this grant
The Venture Booster kennisvoucher is a temporary subsidy under the Tijdelijke subsidieregeling Luchtvaart in Transitie (LiT), administered by RVO for the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. It helps start-ups with a knowledge question about the aviation transition obtain expert support to attract financing and/or test product-market fit. The voucher covers up to 50% of the costs of the expert engagement, capped at EUR 20,000, with a total budget of EUR 100,000 per round. Eligible knowledge questions fall into four areas: Investor Readiness (preparing a start-up for outside investment, including investable business model, financial planning, pitch material, legal structure and capitalization table, and investor type fit); IP advice (patent research, freedom-to-operate, IP management, and using IP in valuation and investor negotiations); Market validation (customer interviews, pilots, market size and segmentation, pricing model testing, and early adopter identification); and Founder Coaching (leadership, decision-making, personal effectiveness, communication and resilience coaching). Applicants must obtain a quote from a knowledge institution, company, or independent professional, stating how and by whom the question will be answered. The quote may be unsigned. The work must be strategic, advisory and connecting in nature; standard consultancy contracts for executing work are not accepted. The topic and knowledge question must match between application and quote, or the application will be rejected. Applications are decided within 13 weeks. Once the voucher is granted, the expert redeems it by submitting a signed contract between start-up and expert, and redemption must occur within 24 months of the voucher being issued and no later than 31 December 2029. The scheme is announced to reopen in 2027, 2028 and 2029 with EUR 100,000 each year.
