Das Congress Centrum Würzburg (CCW) muss generalsaniert werden, da die Gebäudetechnik, die größtenteils aus dem Jahr der Eröffnung 1984 stammt vollständig ausgetauscht werden muss. Zudem sind tragwerkstechnische Mängel durch Chlorideinträge in den Betonbauteilen der Tiefgarage zu sanieren und das Erscheinungsbild der Innenausstattung zu modernisieren.
