In context

This RVO ISDE subsidy funds electric cooking appliances (induction or similar) for homeowners in the Netherlands, replacing gas-based cooking to cut emissions. Applications are accepted through 31 December 2030.
About this grant
The ISDE (Investeringssubsidie duurzame energie en energiebesparing) scheme for homeowners provides a fixed subsidy of €400 for purchasing and installing an electric cooking appliance (induction hob) in a home that has moved away from gas. The subsidy covers the cooking plate itself, the creation of an extra circuit in the electricity meter cabinet, and the installation of a power cable to the kitchen. The scheme addresses the phase-out of natural gas in Dutch households. It targets homes connected to a heat distribution network (such as district heating) that no longer use gas for heating or cooking, and where the gas meter has been or is being removed. Applicants must submit the claim within 24 months of purchasing the appliance. Supporting documents include the network operator's confirmation of gas meter removal, proof of connection to the heat network, an invoice and proof of payment, and a description of the appliance with type number, brand or manufacturer. Claims are made online through the RVO portal using DigiD, and an ISDE calculation tool is available to estimate the subsidy.

Eligibility
Applicants must be homeowners (woningeigenaren) who are not members of a (mixed) Vereniging van Eigenaars (VvE). The home must be connected to a heat distribution network and must no longer be connected to gas, with the gas meter removed on or after 2 April 2022 or scheduled for removal. Only new appliances qualify; second-hand or used products are not eligible. Applicants must not previously have claimed ISDE subsidy for a heat network connection, because that subsidy already includes an amount for an electric cooking appliance. Homes not yet connected to a heat network are excluded. Claims must be made within 24 months of purchase. The scheme is Dutch and applies to properties in the Netherlands.
