ISDE: Subsidy for sustainable renovation of your home Grant
In context
This call is open to individuals. Funding is a grant. Coverage is read from the notice itself: Netherlands. The funder accepts early-stage applicants.
This Dutch government subsidy (ISDE) funds homeowners' purchase of heat pumps, solar boilers, heat network connections, electric cooking appliances, glass and insulation measures, or ventilation to make homes more sustainable. Applications are accepted through 31 December 2030.
About this grant
The ISDE (Investeringssubsidie duurzame energie en energiebesparing) for homeowners is a Dutch national subsidy that refunds part of the cost of sustainability measures in an owner-occupied home. Eligible measures include heat pumps (including hybrid heat pumps), solar water heaters, electric cooking appliances, insulation measures, connection to a district heating network, and, from 2026, ventilation when combined with one or more insulation measures. The subsidy is paid after the measure has been installed and invoiced, rather than before. The subsidy amount depends on the type of measure and on the number of measures installed. For example, floor insulation receives up to EUR 520, while a solar water heater can receive up to EUR 3,417. Where more than one insulation measure is installed, the insulation subsidy amount doubles, and this also applies when insulation is combined with a heat pump, solar water heater or district heating connection. Multiple measures must be carried out within 24 months of each other. Applicants must submit the subsidy request within 24 months of installation. Required evidence includes an invoice, proof of payment, a product description, the installer's details, a meldcode (product registration code) listed on the invoice, and for insulation a photo of the work per measure. A DigiD login is needed to submit. Decisions are generally expected within 8 weeks. The page also notes that from 1 January 2027 some ISDE rules change.

Eligibility
The ISDE for homeowners is open only to owner-occupiers, meaning the applicant owns the dwelling and lives in it. Owners of a second home that is not rented must apply under the business-user ISDE instead, which requires prior application before ordering installation and excludes insulation measures. Owners of rented dwellings are directed to the SVOH scheme. Measures must be installed by a contractor or installer and the applicant may not carry out the installation personally. Listed protected monuments follow adapted conditions. Applicants must have DigiD or DigiD with SMS verification, and may authorise a third party to submit on their behalf. Eligible products must appear on the relevant meldcode list or be supported by a product description.
